Painting provides a creative escape for me. I love the simple exploration of color and texture and how the mix of those can evoke different types of feelings.

PROJECT HISTORY

I like to explore using shape, form and color. (The first two pieces are collaborations with Troy DeShano.)
FUTURALBUM is a collaborative album design project organized by Troy DeShano where contributors re-imagined cover art for any album they choose. I chose Public Enemy's classic "Fear of a Black Planet," and my favorite album title ever, "When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold," by the Minnesota hip-hop group, Atmosphere.
One of my paintings was used on the cover and throughout the album art on Ivywild, the new album from Night Beds. Big thanks to Nate Utesch and the folks at Dead Oceans for the opportunity.
