My Grandpa worked his entire life as a farmer in Hallock, MN (NW corner of the state). I spent a lot of time thinking about how he supported his wife and children from the work of his hands.

The last time we visited him before he passed away, I asked if I could take some pictures of his hands. This is one of those pictures. (Here is another one.)
