Inspiration: Philip Davis

I stumbled upon the work of Philip Davis through Flickr. He’s got a beautiful crisp, clean and textured style that I love. He’s currently designing his way through the book of Psalms on his Tumblr site. I really like the visuals he’s pulling out of the verses. Below is a sampling of a few of his Psalms designs. You can also see more of his work on his Flickr account.

Dude, thanks a ton for featuring some of my stuff. I really appreciate it. I wish I could take the credit but God’s Word is the true inspiration.
Keep up your design work, I really look forward to seeing more of your stuff.

    Thanks again!

Darn you Jim for posting this. There is design inspiration, and there is design humiliation. These images prove I will never be good at graphic design…
Maybe I should learn more than how to check the drop shadow box???
    Beautiful stuff! Great work Philip.

@Philip: No problem. I love showing off great work!

@Trevor: I disagree. You do awesome work. You should be posting your sermon images to your blog each week!
