New Web Site and a Giveaway!

If you’ve visited the site before, you’ll notice that it recently underwent a little redesign. When I first launched my site, I planned for it to mainly be a portfolio site. Then I started a blog series called Word. I wanted to change up the design to showcase the Word series more and make those posts easier to access. (Also, the geek in me wanted to get a site that could take advantage of WordPress 3.0 functionality!)

Hopefully, I didn’t break anything. If you spot something weird, please let me know!

Blah, blah, blah. Could you get to the part about free stuff?

OK, OK. Here’s the deal on the giveaway. Two lucky folks will each win a 16×20 print of one of my Word Designs. If you’d like to be one of those lucky folks, there two ways to enter. Prepare yourselves. I’m gonna ask you to be a little creative…

  • Summarize any book of the Bible in 100 words or less and leave it in the comments (and make sure to mention what book you are summarizing). I won’t be counting words, but the point is to be brief. (One entry per person.) For example: Life is meaningless, then you die. The question is “what does death mean?” Good news for some, bad for others. (Ecclesiastes)
  • Tweet about the giveaway, using this link. (Enter as often as you want.)

I’ll randomly pick one winner from the comments and one winner from Twitter. (Feel free to enter both ways.) You have until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, December 9 to enter. Ready, go!

*Unfortunately, due to shipping costs, this contest is only open to people in the continental United States.

Life can be hard. It can be depressing, difficult, painful and tormenting. There’s a million ways to lose hope and faith and the people of the world will help you lose it without you even asking. But if you remain faithful and steadfast in the Lord, He will pull you through it all. He is the light at the end of your dark days and you will be rewarded for your faithful service to Him. (Job)

    Jonah:

Running from God sometimes seems like a logical idea (as in, when he tells you to do stuff that’s scary). It’s not. You’ll get tossed around, thrown away, eaten, and end up back where you started. Obedience is pretty key. Oh, and being mad at God’s mercy for others isn’t a great idea either.
