It's Lonely in Centerfield

Infielders have people to talk to. The catcher can talk to the umpire, the first baseman can talk to the runner on base, the second baseman and shortstop can talk to each other. Not so with outfielders. They spend the half inning surrounded by grass which can listen but never speak back.
